  • How can I make an appointment with Dr Alex?
    To book a consultation, simply click on the provided. If this is your first time booking, you will need to sign up in Dr Alex's Patient Portal before you can proceed to book. Please note that the registration email from the portal may end up in your "junk" folder, so be sure to check there if you don't see it in your inbox.   • Where does Dr Alex see patients?
    Dr Alex see all of his patients mainly online. He works with a world-class platform which provides a semless interaction and communication one-to-one with telehealth app. However, he recently launched his face-to-face consultation in Cancun, Mexico at Av.   • Is there a waiting time for a consultation?
    No waiting list exists for consultations; appointments are scheduled on a first-come, first-served basis. However, Dr. Alex is typically available.
  • If I have a partner, can I still attend the consultation with Dr Alex alone?
    Yes, it is possible for one partner to attend the consultation. However, we highly recommend that both partners come to the appointment. This is important because it enables both parties to understand the treatment, risks, benefits, and what the next steps will be. Our experience has shown that when both partners attend the appointment, it is easier and quicker to come to an agreement and streamline the process.
  • What is required prior to my consultation?
    Nothing is required prior to your consultation.
  • How many appointments can I/we expect to have prior to treatment?
    Dr. Alex's goal is to diagnose the patient's condition and create a suitable treatment plan as efficiently as possible. If all the necessary investigation results are available, one initial consultation may be sufficient. However, if additional appointments are required to obtain all the necessary information, two appointments will be necessary before the patient can be referred for treatment.
  • How can I/we prepare for the consultation?
    It is essential to ensure that both partners attend the consultation together (if applicable). The Telehealth application generates a unique one-to-one link for each consultation and does not allow different locations. In case a couple wants to attend the appointment from different locations, please communicate this by emailing hello@dralex.ie to hold the meeting on another platform such as Zoom or Google Meet. Please keep in mind that if a platform other than Telehealth is used, the duration of the consultation might be reduced.
  • What happens if I haven't done any previous fertility investigations?
    Dr. Alex will perform the assessment and recommend relevant investigations. A follow-up consultation after the investigations is recommended to get a full assessment.
  • What is the purpose of the initial consultation?
    An online consultation with a comprehensive assessment of patient/couple including: - 30 minutes offline of Dr Alex´s time to prepare the appointment. - Medical history - Review of all previous investigations - Review of all previous treatments - Diagnostic - Best strategies available (Options) - Treatment plan (If applicable)
  • How can I cancel my appointment?
    To cancel an appointment, kindly send an email to hello@dralex.ie. Your refund will be processed within 15 business days from the date of cancellation. Please note that Dr. Alex's policy requires a 24-hour notice for all services. Failure to comply with this policy will result in a non-refundable fee
  • How are we going to be referred to a partner clinic?
    Dr Alex will summarize your medical history and the treatment plan then will be sent to our partner clinic in an encrypted PDF email. The clinical team in our partner clinic will contact you to issue your prescriptions and schedule your treatment plan.
  • Do I need to pay Dr Alex directly for the IVF cycle?
    You will need to pay Dr Alex directly for the online consultations. Upon referral to one of our partner clinics, you will need to pay for the treatment directly at the clinic.
  • Does Dr Alex deal with IVF, ICSI, PGTA and Egg Donation?
    Dr. Alex has extensive experience with high-complexity techniques. He can prepare a treatment plan for you and refer you to one of our partner clinics for treatment under Dr. Alex's supervision.
  • Does Dr Alex perform the scans, egg collections or embryo transfer of IVF/ICSI cycles?
    Dr. Alex performs it for his patients in Mexico, however, if the treatment is in Europe, Dr. Alex has strategic alliances with the best IVF clinics in Ireland, Spain. He will closely follow your treatment and make the decision about your cycle, however the procedures will be carried out by the medical team at each clinic.
  • Who do I/we contact if I/we want to change an appointment during IVF cycle?
    To get the information you need, it's best to contact the clinic where you are receiving treatment directly.
  • If I'm runnig out of medication during my cycle who do I need to contact?
    You need to contact the clinic where you are currently undergoing treatment to obtain a new prescription.
